Pinellas County high school softball is entering its most exciting week of the season. Regional tournament action begins Wednesday May 6th for Classes 1A through 4A and Thursday May 7th for the remaining classifications. All roads lead to Boombah-Soldiers Creek Park in Longwood where the state championships will be decided.

Pinellas County enters regional play as one of the most dominant softball regions in the entire state of Florida. Multiple local programs are poised to make deep runs and the county has legitimate state title contenders in several classifications.

Calvary Christian in Clearwater enters regional play as the defending Class 2A state champion and is currently ranked No. 1 in the NFCA national high school poll. The Warriors went 30-1 last season and have won three state titles in the past four years. They are the team every program in Florida is chasing.

Clearwater High School is another program with state title momentum. The Tornadoes reached the region finals in Class 4A last season and return a talented roster hungry to take the next step.

Osceola out of Seminole made program history last season by reaching the Class 4A state semifinals for the first time ever. The Warriors are back and looking to go even further this spring.

Dunedin reached the Class 3A state semifinals last season for the first time since 1991. The Falcons have completely rebuilt their program and are one of the best stories in Pinellas County sports.

East Lake won the Pinellas County Athletic Conference championship this season and is making noise. They continue to be a power program led by one of the county's most dangerous lineups.
